We tackle the most difficult problems facing our region; problems for which there are no simple or easy solutions. We have seen the devastation that hurricanes bring to communities – the loss of homes, jobs, friends and hope. Every day we see the long-term effects of women facing pregnancy without adequate medical attention. And we see the instability of families and communities caused by unemployment and underemployment. In time of crisis, we provide emergency response that is coupled with long-term solutions.
