Director of Marketing and Communications
Salary Range: D.O.E.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution with four or more years related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Working knowledge of public relations and marketing practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficient with experience using creative computer software applications including Quark, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Three or more years working in the advertising and marketing fields creating a wide range of design media including websites, brochures and printed graphics. Previous e-marketing experience is a plus.
JOB SUMMARY: Work with President and consultants to develop marketing and communication plan. Work with copywriters and designers to produce agency publications and promotional materials including the annual report, quarterly newsletter, online newsletter, program brochures, event invitations and programs, posters, and other communication materials. Coordinate graphic design, print bids and production of all printed materials. Coordinate production of print brochures, radio and television spots, billboards, transit and other advertising outlets for purchased advertising and public service announcements. Communications Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, developing and implementing of all of the marketing, communications and media activities for the Neighborhood Tax Centers (NTC). Oversee development and production of all printed materials, including fliers, posters, banners, signs, bill boards, and reports. Maximize positive media coverage; promote strong community and media relationships; write and produce materials; manage media event logistics; and maintain databases and archives. Develop a strategic outreach and communications plan that will maximize program exposure to the target audience.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Two to five years of experience working with volunteers required. Experience working in and managing large (100+ member) volunteer teams. Ability to work with and manage a group that is highly diverse in cultural backgrounds, professional experiences and age. JOB SUMMARY: Develop and implement a strategy for recruiting 500+ volunteers whose talents and interests fit with Neighborhood Tax Center’s mission and goals. Maintain volunteer database. Track volunteers through training, testing and tax season. Maintain current volunteer information on the NCI website. Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for volunteers. Provide effective support to volunteers during training, testing and their day-to-day service. Track and analyze volunteer activity and satisfaction through database reports and surveys. Recognize volunteer’s efforts through formal and informal methods. Coordinate large-scale volunteer recognition events. Assist Program Director and other NTC staff with events, outreach and general program management as needed. Assist with writing, designing and producing annual post-season report.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Education, Science, Computer Science or any other related field required. Strong public speaking skills. Proficient in delivering soft and technical skill trainings to adults. JOB SUMMARY: Maintain the technical and operational aspects of Learning Management System and train staff on the use of the LMS. Develop and implement on-line training courses through self-authoring software tool. Identify and procure appropriate off-the-shelf training courses. Provide technical assistance to staff as needed on the LMS and other training components. Analyze and issue periodic reports regarding the use of and issues with the LMS and training development/procurement. Assist with and/or provide classroom training to staff. Identify, respond to, and issue reports regarding safety concerns and incidents occurring within the Agency. Identify, develop, procure, implement and track safety and security related training for staff. Document and assist with Agency’s compliance and progress with the components of an effective safety program. Compile, analyze and issue periodic reports regarding Agency safety and security trends and issues.

e-Marketing/Communication Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises the funds management unit. Manages several different funding sources that comprise Workforce Solutions Financial Aid. Monitors financial aid budgets, expenditures, obligations, commitments and trends for 35 career centers as well as the entire system. Communicates financial information through databases, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and narrative to the Agency’s Finance department, NCI Management and staff, career centers, the Gulf Coast Workforce board, and HGAC staff. Membership Services Specialist (2 positions)
Salary Range: $32,504-43,880
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree from an accredited educational institution with one to two years experience preferred or three to five years relevant experience with high school diploma. Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
JOB SUMMARY: Assists community center members with development of plans of service to meet their self-identified needs. Enrolls member or client in requested programs. Assesses membership and program fees based on community center member’s or potential member’s income. Provides center members or potential members with information and referrals to community agencies and other NCI programs and services as needed. Maintains current list of community resources and information. Conducts needs assessments of community center members and potential members requesting enrollment in center based programs. Reviews service plans and follows up with community center members to determine if service plan goals have been reached and to gather data for tracking outcomes.
