Green Papers
Green papers encourage discussion and seek to engage constituents on important matters.
In an effort to research and cultivate dialogue around our New Century Model, we worked with the United Neighborhood Centers of America to convene three national forums in 2005 and 2006 for discussing new community development models. This resulted in increased dialogue on new ideas for the social and economic development of communities; greater awareness of innovative projects; more opportunities for local and national replication of models; increased articulation of a national position for community centers; and better planning among national organizations. Following the initial forum, Neighborhood Centers Inc. published a Green Paper on the role of community centers in the future.
