Partner Spotlight
Neighborhood Centers Inc. would like to recognize The Alliance for Multicultural Community Services as a strong and valued partner. We work with the Alliance on our Immigration Forums to help provide information and connections to the newly-arrived so they may better understand and assimilate into the local economy and social systems. We are also partnering with the Alliance on the NCI-Community Development Credit Union, which will serve residents who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in the Gulfton/Sharpstown neighborhoods. In fact, the Credit Union will open for business later this year inside the Alliance’s headquarters at 6440 Hillcroft, one block away from the site of our Alice Graham Baker-Edith Hudson Ripley House.
Founded in 1985, the Alliance’s mission is to provide a comprehensive mix of social and community development services to refugees, immigrants and low-income residents of Harris County to become self-sufficient and improve their quality of life. Programs include refugee resettlement, job counseling and placement, driver’s education, and ESL classes.
Neighborhood Centers Inc. is proud to partner with the Alliance for Multicultural Community Services.
